Brandon Flowers

Flamingo - Album
Crossfire - Single

Review by Aggie

The Killers’ frontman, Brandon Flowers unleashed the first single from his upcoming solo effort, Flamingo. It is called “Crossfire. While a little too U2 and a little less Pet Shop Boys than I’d like to hear from Mr. Flowers, “Crossfire” is just moody and brooding enough to bring his own merits forward.

There is also talk of devils and fire, and who doesn’t like religious imagery in their songs these days? The lyrics are a beautiful use of imagery and passions and after listening to it a couple of times I couldn’t get the words out of my head .

“We’re caught in the crossfire of Heaven and Hell, and we’re searching for shelter,” Flowers cries out during the arena-ready chorus and lays the words straight into our heads.

All in all, an intriguing start to a solo campaign. I’m ready for more, please!
