Sun Comes Up Again - Album review
By Hannah
In a music industry full of generic indie-pop, this is exactly how indie-pop should sound. ‘I Am Arrows’ is former razorlight drummer Andy Burrow’s new venture and is a pleasant surprise, you just don’t expect a sound that is so strong lyrically and instrumentally by the drummer from, let’s face it, a band that has more recently become just another middle-of-the-road indie band.
First single ‘Green Grass’ is a great track with an indie-soul vibe and is sure to be a hit this summer and shows off Burrow’s impressive song writing skills. Many of the tracks from the album ‘Sun Comes Up Again’ have what can only be described as a ‘warm’ feeling, a relief at finally being able to make an honest album that has everything he wanted it to have on it.
Burrow’s talent as an instrumentalist is also shown by the fact that he plays every instrument used on the album himself, a credible feat and one that gives the album that personal feeling. Not only are the single and other tracks of the album great, but Burrows really does deserve recognition for an album that has had so much personal effort and soul put into it.
